Project 5-100 Universities listed among the universities with the best student-to-staff ratio 2019February 14, 2019
The Times Higher Education (THE) has revealed the universities with the best student-to-staff ratio. The ranking is designed to show which universities have the best student-to-staff ratios in the world as a way to help students find out which universities could be best places to provide this type of learning environment. The list includes universities from 22 countries.
Russia has seven universities in the rankings, two of them are Project 5-100 participants. Novosibirsk State University (NSU) (48th) features in the top-50. Lobachevsky University(86th) has improved it’s position in this year’s list.
THE believes that a lower student-to-staff ratio can help students to make closer connection with their lecturers, get quicker access to feedback, participate actively in seminars and discussions, and reflects the attention which university teachers can give to their students.
The list has been prepared using data from the latest THE World University Rankings. As part of the rankings, THE collects information on the staff and student numbers of each university, and from this could be calculated the student-to-staff ratio.
