The Times Higher Education (THE) revealed top 200 universities with the highest percentage of international students.
Five universities from Russia feature in the top 200, making this country more visible in the ranking. Four of them are Project 5-100 participants.
RUDN is in the first place among Russian universities. It takes this years' 78th place. Collated by Times Higher Education, it is also the first time two institutions NUST “MISiS” (162th) and Tomsk State University (189th) have been placed in the top 200 spots in such a ranking. Tomsk Polytechnic University (166th) has demonstrated the greatest growth in the ranking’s table. This university has climbed 28 positions to rank among the top 170 in the world
One more Russian university in the ranking tables is MSU (195th).
“The higher education world is getting smaller as more and more students are choosing to study abroad. Students are looking to universities to provide an international experience, the opportunity to study alongside people from all over the world, and to give them a truly global community in which to study,“ says THE.
Countries represented in the top 20 include the UAE, UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France and Australia.
As part of the data collected for the World University Rankings, Times Higher Education asks all institutions to provide figures on their proportion of international students. Using these data, THE has compiled a list of the top 200 universities with the most international students.
