More international students contribute to an international classroom at Project 5-100 universitiesApril 28, 2017
The Times Higher Education (THE) revealed top 200 universities with the highest percentage of overseas students this Wednesday, April 26, with two Project 5-100 participants featured.
THE published the 2017 International student table, which had been expanded to 200 institutions from more than 20 countries. Out of 200 universities featured, the Russian Federation counts 3 institutions.
Two Project 5-100 participants featured in the top 200, with RUDN University having achieved the incredible feat of ranking in the top 60. RUDN took 53d place position and has a higher percentage of international students than any other Russian ranked institution, while Lomonosov Moscow State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University (Project 5-100 participant) were ranked 191 and 194 respectively.
This reflects the high percentage of international students of RUDN, with 35 percent, and Tomsk Polytechnic University with 20.4 percent, and shines the spotlight on institutions that enjoy recognition in the overall league list.
As part of the data collected for the World University Rankings, institutions provide figures on the percentage of international students they have. THE has extracted these data and compiled a list of the top 200 universities to explore which institutions are hosting the most international students.
2017 rankings from the Times Higher Education - show that Russia is performing well, with the number of top-placements increase and breakthrough into THE Young University Rankings, THE Golden Age Universities and World's most international universities 2017, but competition is increasing from other international players. Russia works hard to ensure its higher education spending and policies do not hinder its place in the World University Rankings, and Project 5-100 contributes Russian universities recording world-leading performance and confidence in Russia institutions expressed by academics and students responding to surveys.
