RUDN University celebrated the 61st anniversary of its foundation by holding a series of online events dedicated to the educational and scientific activities of the university. Over the years, RUDN University has graduated more than 200 thousand highly qualified specialists working in almost all countries of the world. "The university has withstood the tests that have fallen to its lot in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, and has not allowed a decrease in the quality and pace of the provision of educational services to the contingent of foreign students", - said Oleg Yastrebov, rector of RUDN University. Today, students from 160 countries study at one of the leading universities in Russia and the world. RUDN University is a recognized member of the global academic community with its own scientific and educational agenda.

This indicates the level of our competition in the world, where there are about 25,000 universities”, - said Vladimir Filippov, President of the RUDN University.

The successful development of the university and the strengthening of its international academic reputation resulted in a significant strengthening of positions in the institutional and subject rankings QS, THE, ARWU. “We continued to grow in international rankings. We are currently ranked 326 on the QS World's Best Universities List. This is twice as high as five years ago”, - said Oleg Yastrebov.
