Project 5-100 universities listed among the top universities with the best student-to-staff ratio

Times Higher Education has released its list of the universities with the best student-to-staff ratio. The ranking table includes 100 universities from 22 countries all around the world.

Russia is home to eight universities. Three of them are Project 5-100 participants. Novosibirsk State University (48th) has made it to the top 50 for the second year in a row, consolidating its position among the world’s best colleges in terms of attention paid by faculty to each student.

Top-100 table also features Lobachevsky University (85th) and Sechenov University (98th).

The global top-10 includes eight universities from Japan and two universities from the USA. The first place is shared by two Japanese universities: Nippon Medical School and the Jikei University School of Medicine.

The ranking of top universities with the best student-to-staff ratio was compiled using indicators collected for the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. As part of the rankings, THE collects information on the number of staff and students at each university. In the global ranking the value of the indicator “The number of students per member of staff” is 4,5%.
